Destination inspiration explained

For those unfamiliar with our ‘Destination Inspiration’ posts its our chance to give you a little inspiration of your next travel destination without breaking the bank. After having a look through the best flights to various global destinations we select a few that we feel may tempt you to click book and pack your bags. Here’s what we found this week – let us know if you’ve booked any!

Manchester to Porto – £20 (Nov 23rd)

Setting the tone nicely we have flights to sunny Portugal for just £20. These are ideal for those living further north and don’t have easy access to London for some of our other flights. The flight timings are also very handy too as the Ryanair flight leaves Manchester at 9:30 and gets to Porto for exactly mid day. Meaning you get plenty of time on your first day in Portugal without the extremely early get up.

London to Santorini – £35 (Oct 25th)

We’ve all seen the magical views looking over the blue and white roof tops at the sun and sunset, particularly on instagram. For just £35, you could be seeing them for yourself. Although you’ll not be visiting in summer months the average temperature of 22°c is certainly a lot better than London. The Norwegian airways flight leaves Gatwick at 17:20 and arrives at Santorini just before midnight.

London to Dubai – £64 (Oct 4th)

So now the big one… Well we’re going to be honest, and there is a slight catch. First, you fly from London at 13:55 to Sofia International Airport (Bulgaria) and arrive at 19:05, which so far is fine. However, then there is an overnight connection which departs the next day at 11:55 and finally you land in Dubai at 17:55. Now obviously there is a big downside with the overnight connection but we actually don’t think its too bad.

First, because the long haul flight to Dubai is broken up, meaning if you have children, this is certainly a lot more suited to them. Second, because the overnight is so long, you can really relax and maybe explore some of the Bulgarian city of Sofia and third, it makes the price super cheap!
